Yarning to get off this couch!

So I’ve been stuck on this couch for a few days, trying to ride out some Osteoarthritis pain in my hip without much luck if I’m being honest.

I don’t do well sitting still and I’m trying to keep my mind off the Ouchy’s! So that leads me to the yarn… I know you were expecting to see robots, they are hard to make from this couch potato sentence that was handed down to me.

I used to make stuff with yarn years ago but I haven’t touched that medium forever! It was back to yarn 101! And if I’m being honest I’m not all that good at it. But I do have stashes of it and I’m stuck on this couch for who knows how long.

It ain’t pretty but functional!

Which brings me over to functionality. Over the past few weeks I purged my Walmart/ Made in China dishcloths and made a decision to only buy artist made ones or make them myself. There are so many artesian shops/ farmers markets that would love to adorn my kitchen with all their hard work.

Me with only one handmade dishcloth in my drawer for weeks now I’ve said that I need a few more to get me threw the week. I guess this is giving me the down time to accomplish a few dishcloths. I have years worth of yarn hording in an undisclosed location just waiting for a project like this! I have Advent yarn or some call it small skeins, left overs and whole skeins of artisan wool yarns. I also have some yarns that I threw in my both at Oh My Gosh Antiques. Who knows, if I get stuck on this couch long enough some wonky dishtowels made by a non-knitter may end up in my both as well!

I am thankful for some down time, I only wish it would come with less pain. I guess the pain lets us know we are still here.

Stay strong and carry on knitwits!
