But what is ART

It’s such a hard thing to tell people. It’s hard to define my art. I am an Artist. I am a sculptor but not the kind of sculptor that most people think of when they think of sculptures. Most people go to giant bronze sculptures that life in cities.

I make found object sculptures. Some are truly found and some are just traveling from your home to mine just lost in the travel. Not knowing what they will become!

ART IS LIFE- ART IS MY LIFE!

Art is tricky right now. It’s more stuff in this world. I hear a lot of people say “Oh that’s cute but I’m downsizing!”. In ways I am as well. I am no longer on the hunt to find materials to build with as my collection is quite vast, plus I am on a bit of a spending freeze as sales are fewer. I am still building! I am still creating! I am still in some amazing galleries! I am very thankful for that!

I have had people suggest to me to go get a “real” job. Art is my REAL job! I don’t wish to live my life any other way. Life is hard, life is a struggle! As long as I have a roof over my head and food on my table, it’s the life I wish to live! Art is the only way I know how to survive in this world. We are all here for different reasons and I’m pretty sure ART is my reason.
