Fall Cleanup!

It’s been a busy two weeks, and I have been slacking on my Sunday/Blog promise. I have been working hard trying to clean out some vintage out of my workshop. Trying to make room for useful space! True work space, as temperatures are starting to drop, I need to get in some yard sales to clear out the products that no longer serve me. I was pretty proud of myself, letting go of 8 large totes that served no purpose in my workshop. That being said I found another box of Halloween that needed to be picked threw and recreated! Hence another Pumpkin head went to a new home and I am down to only one Halloween tote! I still have a couple pumpkins left but they maybe kept for next years scaring, I’m looking forward to creating more robots than Halloween these days.

Speaking of robots, Pawn returned to my workshop! I honestly was hoping that my robots could stand on their thread spools without toppling over. I became quiet doubtful and with the edition of glass it put an extra scar factor in the game for me. Pawn got some new shoes to keep her in the upright position and to take some worry out of it for me! I will be adding shoes to my pieces from now on.

Plain Jane shoes were not what Pawn wanted so we shopped the work shop for a few silver forks and this is what we came up with.

New tools!!

I’ve had a couple commission pieces over the past two weeks which allowed me to purchase this beautiful set of disk cutters and center dies which I’m super excited to play with! I had this idea of using my recycled tin cans as eyes or embellishments and this tool will help me process them into workable rounds. From these I can paint or decoupage the ideas are endless! Not to mention cans with amazing graphics can now be cut and turned into rounds! Hopefully I will have something to show you next week that I’ve processed threw this machine.

I made it out to Western Avenue Arts Open Studios yesterday and picked up a couple of Pre Birthday gifts for myself.

This wee little is a Bill Hecht original from The Robotorium!

And this adorable little cartoon of Tim Palin’s. It just reminded me of a female Dennis the Menace!! I had to have!!!!

That’s it for this week kids!

As always Stay Creative!!
