Welcome to the world Oli!

Oli was my first experiment with my new Die Cutter. It is an amazing new tool and I’m extremely happy with my purchase. I sought out this tool originally to cut back on my purchases of washers. And as a recycler I always wonder what exactly I can do with the stuff that goes thoughtlessly into the recycle bin. I started saving some cans, as my family doesn’t use that much can goods I had to think beyond and thin as this machine doesn’t cut thicker metals. Pop cans are thin aluminum and my return bin doesn’t accept all of them so the unrecycled recyclables would go back in the big recycle bins. Here’s where Dr. Goodwin came in… I chopped off the top and bottom and flattened the middle for a fun game of Whack-A-Mole! Have you ever played that game? It’s great for getting your aggressions out!! Being this the first time I used this machine I totally forgot my center holes but that will have to be for the next can. I went back with my hole punch to affix Oli’s armpits. New tools are always a learning experience. I’m happy to be using up my can’s in this fashion. Plus the added fonts and graphics is a nice touch to my robots. I’m sure whoever gets Oli will be happy they saved more Trash from our landfills as nowadays looking at research I’m not sure how much of our “recyclables” are actually recycled at all! I would like to think it all is but reality is that is not the case.

We will just have to see what else I can chop up with the die cutter. Stay tuned!!
