You folks have kept me on my toes and in the workshop this week! I’ve been building stock for both Hannah Grimes Marketplace and Sawmill River Arts Gallery.
A new hanging robot went into Sawmill River Arts Gallery on Friday afternoon. His name is Shelburn, appropriate, I thought! He is named after his Shelburne Falls coffee tin that he proudly displays on his chest! He was not quiet done in this image as I needed to add the percolator basket to his head.

Shelburn replaced Betty Batterfield who has traveled with me for many years. If you are the lucky person who adopted her, she was made with a Cake tin head.. so Betty after Betty Crocker of coarse and Batterfield which kind of reminded me of Dr. Suess’s “The Butter Battle Book”. Who can say that 10 times fast? Don’t think too deep about it, she has nothing to do with wars, unless it was a cake war, then it’s every man/ woman/ child to themselves!

These three also went with Sheldon to Sawmill River Arts.
Another drop will be happened today at Hannah Grimes Marketplace. I built another 7 new robots for my Keene peeps and a new large robot will be going in as well!

The single photo above is of the Tin Man. He is the large piece that went to Keene. He is a hard one to photograph. Tin Man was a remake, I built him as a tip jar for my husbands band "The Cropdusters" he was only used for one gig and brought back home where he sat until he became my door greeter at studio 447 in Lowell. He worked that hallway every weekend since July. He loved his job seeing all you art-loving humans but I felt that he needed a new mission and when Hannah Grimes Marketplace reached out for a new piece I said I know who to bring you! So last Saturday I strapped him in my car and drove him back to my home from my studio. The remake started with fresh paint, stronger nuts and bolts a fresh eyeball washing with a clock gear added to his left eyeball. A brand new fish lure nose and another fish lure was added to his chest giving it a pop of florescent green and orange to cover his tip jar hole and play off his green arm. His opposite arm holds a small heart filled with Lichen and a clock gear. A deeper stain went over his cheery legs and he was born a new robot!
I am super excited to share him with my Keene Peeps, I'm sure that they will love him as much as Olli and I do, maybe so much to share their home with him.

Olli admiring the Tin Man’s heart…LOL!

Little Volt was reworked this week and I’m pretty happy with his new look. I really like the looks of the new legs that I started fabricating a little while back. I am currently trying to come up with an easy replacement for the feet as I’m not out of Upwords blocks but I know that eventually that jar will be empty.
The next project this week is to spay paint all the springs. Spray paint holds better to the springs so that is what I will be working on tomorrow. We’ll see what colors I have left, I’m trying to use up some old stock colors.
Well that was a super long news letter, I hope you made it threw!
Save the date.
